Some parents of autistic children go with TouchChat, as it is a bit cheaper than Proloquo2Go, but is still an argumentative and alternate communication app. There are several version of TouchChat, ranging across various prices.
The sophistication of the therapy devices are equivalent to the price of the app. It is designed especially for children with autism spectrum disorders, Down Syndrome and ADHD because these disorders can greatly affect a child’s ability to utilize speech for everyday use.
There are some special sections that are devoted to specific language barriers. A Primary section is geared towards toddlers and has basic phrases as well as words that are used everyday.
VocabPC assists in building the essential vocabulary. Spelling offers a QWERTY keyboard with word prediction buttons and stored phrases.
